MayDay CK is Infrastructure for Justice

Omni Center, KPSQ FM Radio, and MayDay Community Kitchen are all having birthdays in May. Wow. We are proud that Omni could be part of the mutual aid culture that blossomed as covid swept through our community last year. And Omni could only do it because Omni members and friends stepped up to help. Dozens… Continue reading MayDay CK is Infrastructure for Justice

NOW Rules in Agonizing Ways

We want a future that works for everyone.  But NOW still rules in agonizing ways.  People are suffering and there’s too much blindness to it. I hope you’ve contacted your Quorum Court members. (scroll down the page to find them) Many people have, and more messages are needed.  The pressure is being felt.  (Maybe you noticed… Continue reading NOW Rules in Agonizing Ways

Dear HARK, Don’t Sit On The Money Please

“The poor we have always with us…” the holy book says.  But sometimes things happen that are just so beyond the reckoning of men that lives and communities are destroyed.  Wars and insurrection in our backyards, change of climate, and pandemics, for instance.  All of which happen to be threatening, at the moment, or already… Continue reading Dear HARK, Don’t Sit On The Money Please

The Bifurcatio that could have been worse

We could have turned the other way, but we managed to choose this road, and the turn makes a difference.
We still don’t know what’s down this road. We didn’t leave covid behind, the climate is still in collapse, the corporate state is still in charge, and the president’s followers are glumly trapped on the bus with us… and they might bring guns. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride. I hope you don’t worry that we picked the wrong road.
