Thanks for reading Peace Weavers, friend

Hope you’re curious about what a peace weaver might be. You were invited because somehow or other you’re connected to Omni Center for Peace, after all.

After being in the peace business for 20 years we’ve learned a few things about what peace is and is not. It’s really pretty interesting.

For instance, there are lots of debates about peace as the absence of war. Peace as the absence of conflict. Peace with justice as opposed to peace with strength. But none of the debates have made war and conflict stop.

This issue is becoming more critical as the number of crises and the degree of polarization escalates. It’s becoming increasingly clear that our strategies to win the war on war are flawed in ways that leaders across political spectrum’s struggle to understand.

Now the latest war is on coronavirus. By strange and wondrous circumstance other conflicts must be sidelined to cope with it for a fleeting moment. And lo and behold, the way back to health and stability looks remarkably like something that progressive thinking would lead one to call a culture of peace.

What does that look like?
